Forthcoming events
Our Big Wine Event on October 24th, which I
mentioned recently, and will keep going on about, is starting to take shape. In addition to the suppliers I listed last time, we are expecting a visit from Pablo de las Heras of
Bodegas Pingón, who will be showing off the bodega's terrific Ribera del Duero reds.
I met
Ian Date and Ilsa down at the
Midleton Food and Drink bash at the weekend, and they reminded me about the
East Cork Early Music Festival. Which is under way today, and all not to be missed. Beowulf as never before &c. &c.
The
Guinness Jazz Festival brochure is out, and available to download.
And for all those near Cork who'd like to learn to swing dance, here are some dates to remember from the
Dublindy site:
Swing Dance Workshops Cork
16th September, 20th October and 24th November.
Jessica Peel-Yates will be teaching a beginners swing class at The Unitarian Church, Princes St, Cork from 8–9.30pm. No experience or partner needed. €10.
And, it seems,
I'm not the only one with a secret life of dance in the wine world.
