Brett Fleming's visit We were very happy to welcome Brett Fleming, the European manager of Rathbone Wine Group, to our offices at the Wine Depot this morning, along with Brian Twohig of TDL. There was absolutely no doubt in any of our minds after about five minutes that Brett really knows his stuff - his open, cheerful confidence about the producers he represents (here are links to Yering Station and Mount Langi Ghiran) and the wines they have to offer was very appealing, and despite his modesty about his own wide and deep experience in winemaking and the business generally, we couldn't fail to be impressed. Negotiations are, as they say, at an early stage, and of course we need to do some sampling, but this was an exciting meeting and I hope to have an update sooner rather than later.  ¶ Wednesday, August 16, 2006
